Senior Software Engineer (Python/Django)

Work from Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp, or Gembloux | Full-time (CDI preferred)

Join a team building impactful tech solutions for a sustainable future. This project focuses on environmental impact and data-driven innovation, helping tackle real-world water management challenges.
We’re looking for a Senior Software Engineer with strong backend experience to help scale up digital tools that support more intelligent, efficient use of natural resources.

What You’ll Do
Design and develop backend systems using Python and Django
Build and maintain APIs and data flows that support geospatial and sensor-driven applications
Use Docker to containerize applications for scalable deployment
Collaborate with a cross-functional team on system architecture and new features
Optionally contribute to frontend development (React or similar)

Your Profile
7+ years of experience in web development, with a strong focus on backend
Mastery of Python, Django, and Docker
Solid experience with API development, relational databases, and cloud environments
Curious mindset, team player, and driven by purpose
Experience with DevOps/CI/CD and frontend technologies is a plus
Fluent in English (French or Dutch is a bonus)
Based in Belgium – working from Leuven, Ghent, Antwerp, or Gembloux (hybrid)
