Android Developer (Kotlin) – Immediate Start | Hybrid (2 days onsite) | Outside IR35
Chapman Tate Associates is seeking a highly experienced contract Android Developer (Kotlin) to join our client on a critical short-term project. This is an exciting opportunity to apply your expertise in Android architecture and development to make a real impact on a live, customer-facing mobile application.

The Role:
You’ll be brought in to audit an existing Android application, identifying the root causes behind re-occurring customer issues. You'll conduct a deep dive into code quality, app architecture, and performance—then provide clear, actionable recommendations to help improve the overall user experience and stability of the app.

What You’ll Need:
Extensive experience as a Senior Android Developer, working on large-scale, user-centric apps.
Proven skills in Kotlin and the modern Android development stack.
Strong grasp of Android application architecture, lifecycle management, and UI/UX design best practices.
Confidence to critically assess existing codebases and suggest improvements.
Ability to communicate complex technical insights to both tech and non-tech stakeholders.

Details:
Contract: Initially 3 Months (with potential for extension)
Location: Hybrid/2 Days on site in Essex (UK-based candidates preferred)
Start Date: ASAP
Day Rate: Competitive (DOE)
