Provn are currently engaged on behalf of our client, an innovative telecommunications company based in Edinburgh, renowned for developing industry-leading products used worldwide. As they continue to expand and evolve, they are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Hardware Engineer to join their dedicated R&D team.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to work within a tight-knit, agile team, contributing to pioneering solutions in the telecoms sector. This position requires a blend of technical expertise and strategic insight to navigate complex engineering challenges and support the company’s mission of delivering cutting-edge telecommunications technology on a global scale.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience with schematic design and complex PCB layouts.
Familiarity with industry-standard design tools.
Knowledge of high-speed interface and memory design.
Background working with digital, analog, and mixed-signal systems.
Hands-on experience with hardware bring-up and troubleshooting.
Understanding of power system design.
Familiarity with product testing and qualification processes.
Exposure to external compliance testing and basic mechanical design.
