Job Specifications

We’re looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to support major oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects. This is a 12-month contract with 12 remote days per month.

Role Overview:
Location: Basingstoke (12 remote days per month)
Contract: 12 months minimum
IR35: Inside IR35 (PAYE only)
Pay: Open

Responsibilities:
Produce project safety deliverables (HSE Plans, Philosophies, ToRs, SoWs)
Organise and attend ENVID, SIMOPS, HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL workshops
Advise on HSE compliance under UK regulations
Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and specialist contractors
Support procurement activities (tender clarifications, bid evaluations)
Act as Project Discipline Lead where required

Requirements:
Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and permitting
Background in oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects preferred
Skilled in technical bid evaluation and stakeholder engagement
Proficient in Microsoft Office
Ability to deliver high-quality work independently and in teams
