Job Opportunity: Software Designer – Simulation & Tools

Location: Charleroi (Hybrid: 2 days remote/week)

A leading international company at the forefront of sustainable innovation in complex industrial systems is looking for a Software Designer to join its Simulation & Tools (S&T) team. This is a great opportunity to contribute to the development of internal tools used for testing and validation, supporting high-impact projects that shape the future of transportation and mobility.

About the Role:
As a Software Designer, you will be involved in designing and developing tools and applications that enhance my client's internal verification and validation (V&V) capabilities. You'll be joining a collaborative and multidisciplinary team with colleagues in both Europe and Asia, contributing to key projects that support cutting-edge systems and digital solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
Specification & Design: Work closely with architects to define software specifications and system architecture.
Development: Develop and maintain software components in C#, Delphi, and C++.
Testing: Design and execute tests to validate deliverables, including integration and verification activities.
Configuration Management: Handle version control, build environments, and toolchains.
Collaboration: Engage with both software and hardware teams on integration activities.
Standardization & Improvement: Reuse or propose reusable solutions, and contribute to process improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For:
Master’s degree in software engineering or a related field.
3+ years of professional experience in software development.
Strong programming background in C#, Delphi, and C++.
Familiarity with Git, GitLab, and network protocols.
Experience with Linux, Docker, or testing frameworks is a plus.
Experience in industries with strict safety or system validation requirements is an asset.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Proficiency in French and English are both required.
