Job Opportunity: Freelance Java Developer (Outside IR35)
£450–£550/day | Remote (UK-Based) | Occasional travel to Hammersmith or Farnborough
We’re looking for an experienced Freelance Java Developer to join a long-term programme focused on building scalable, cloud-native platforms within the Financial Services Payments sector. This is a fully remote role for UK-based candidates, with occasional on-site collaboration in Farnborough or Hammersmith.

This role is ideal for someone who takes ownership, thinks like an engineer, and enjoys working in a collaborative, delivery-focused team.

What You'll Bring
Strong Java development experience (Spring Boot, Microservices)
Proficiency with AWS services (Java Spark, EMR, Lambda, native AWS databases)
Experience with Kubernetes and EKS
Strong understanding of cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
A proactive mindset with a focus on end-to-end delivery

Nice to Have
Background in the Payments or FinTech industry
Experience with AWS Glue or large-scale data processing tools
Knowledge of event-driven architecture
