Technical Safety Engineer – Contract | Aberdeen | Oil and Gas / Upstream

We are representing a leading engineering consultancy supporting major upstream energy projects. They are seeking a Technical Safety Engineer to join their Aberdeen-based team on a contract basis.

You will work as part of a team delivering technical safety services and consulting expertise. The role involves providing high-quality technical deliverables, maintaining chargeable time targets, and supporting your professional development through varied project exposure.

Responsibilities include:
- Delivering safety case updates and thorough reviews
- Conducting ALARP justifications
- Facilitating and supporting HAZID and HAZOP workshops
- Performing EERA, QRA, and consequence modelling
- Collaborating with clients and internal teams to solve technical challenges
- Contributing to project delivery and quality assurance

Requirements:
- Background in technical/process safety within oil and gas
- Experience in safety case development, QRA, and hazard identification methods
- Understanding of ALARP and regulatory compliance
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Degree in an engineering discipline
- Right to work in the UK
