FDM is a global business and technology consultancy seeking a Cybersecurity Project Manager to work for our client within the finance sector. This is initially a 6-month contract with the potential to extend and will be a hybrid role that will be based in Knutsford.

Our client is seeking a results-driven Project Manager with cybersecurity experience to lead and coordinate the planning, execution, and delivery of cybersecurity-related projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management methodologies and a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, technologies, and regulatory requirements. This role ensures the successful delivery of cybersecurity initiatives that protect our organisation's data, systems, and infrastructure.

Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and manage cybersecurity projects, including risk assessments, compliance initiatives (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001, SOC 2), incident response preparedness, and infrastructure security upgrades
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies
Coordinate cross-functional teams, including IT, security, legal, and business stakeholders
Identify project risks, issues, and dependencies, and implement mitigation strategies.
Monitor project progress and deliverables, ensuring alignment with scope, budget, and timeline
Report project status to stakeholders and senior leadership, providing clear and actionable insights
Manage vendor relationships and third-party cybersecurity solution providers.
Ensure that all projects adhere to internal cybersecurity policies and external compliance standards
Facilitate training, awareness, and change management as part of cybersecurity implementations

Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related field
5+ years of experience in project management with at least 2 years in cybersecurity-related projects
Solid understanding of cybersecurity frameworks, threats, and best practices
Experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project, Asana)
Familiarity with compliance and regulatory standards such as GDPR, HIPAA, NIST, ISO 27001
Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
PMP, CISM, CISSP, or similar certifications
Experience with cloud security (e.g., AWS, Azure)
Background in penetration testing coordination or vulnerability management programs
Agile or hybrid project management methodology experience
