Job Description

What will you be doing?

We’re seeking a talented individual to join our Business Outsourcing Services team in Southampton. the primary responsibility of the Technology Assistant Manager is to assist senior members of the team in our newly formed BOS technology team, including our client facing proposition.

The technology team is focused on delivering internal projects to maximise the efficiency of the team and provide staff with the tools to deliver great outcomes for clients, this includes projects such as our recent migration to a new accounts production software.

Your role will be to help successfully deliver these digital transformation projects. This will include involvement in our client proposition, focused on cloud advisory opportunities, including advice on app stacks, and migrating clients to best in class platforms. You will also have the opportunity to assist with managing a diverse client portfolio.

As an Assistant Manager, your responsibilities will include among others:

Assisting with the scoping, procurement and roll out of technologies for internal use and successful delivery of these projects to our national teams, liaising with other members of the technology group and wider national BOS team.
Assist with managing a client portfolio.
Ensure that clients receive an efficient and proactive service and client expectations are exceeded throughout the year.
Liaison with client Partners and other S&W Partners staff where appropriate to ensure all are kept up to date with relevant issues.
Arrangement of timetable, booking of staff, planning review and completion of related assignments.
Organise staff on jobs, ensuring each individual is clear on expectations and timescales, is properly trained and receives constructive feedback.
Ensure appropriate in house and external training received personally.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should:

Qualified accountant (ACA, CA, ACCA) or international equivalent
Strong cloud technology (Xero, Dext, Syft) or business change project experience within a professional services environment.
Demonstrable working knowledge of various cloud accounting applications and an understanding of when various platforms are most appropriate for clients.
Strong communication skills in order to liaise with clients, Partners, staff and other professionals.
Organisation to ensure needs of clients, partners and staff are all met
Experience of working with entrepreneurial, SME and high growth clients.
