GCP Data Modeller/Business Architect

Start: ASAP
Duration: 6 months
Pay: up to £470 per day (inside IR35)
Location: Central London 3-days per week

We're seeking an experienced Data Modeller to support the migration and reimagining of Legacy applications and data models into modern, cloud-native Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Data Products. This role plays a key part in shaping enterprise data architecture using industry best practices and cutting-edge tools.

What you'll be doing
- Lead data modelling for solution design, ensuring alignment with business requirements.
- Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models and schemas.
- Define mappings between logical and physical models to meet performance and accessibility needs.
- Align new data models with the Enterprise Data Model and support through governance processes.
- Register GCP Data Products in Collibra.
- Apply modelling techniques such as star schemas, de-normalised views, and normalisation.

What you'll need
- Proficiency in ER Studio.
- Hands-on experience with GCP (eg GCS, BigQuery, Kafka).
- Strong knowledge of Advanced SQL, SSIS, Python, and Unix Shell Scripting.
- Experience working within Agile teams and delivery frameworks.
