Strategic Command Transformation
Strategic Command is going through a significant transformation programme which aims to improve the way the Command conducts its business and delivers for Defence and the nation. As a consequence of this, all posts within Strategic Command Headquarters and in time the wider organisation, are/will be subject to review and potential changes as we continuously improve across the period of the transformation programme. These changes may be minor or could be more substantive and will generate new opportunities. Throughout, the Command’s transformation programme is committed to following the MOD’s framework on managing and supporting people through the change process and places an emphasis on early and open consultation and engagement with the Command’s personnel and Trade Unions.
Job Description
As the successful candidate, you will be responsible for supporting DPHC in delivery of a safe and effective primary healthcare service within the firm base at the regional level in order to enhance and sustain the operational effectiveness.
The Information Systems Support Officer (ISSO) is the focal point for managing and supporting firm base DPHC Information Systems (IS) in the Medical Practices for which the Regional Clinical Director (RCD) is responsible, to include both clinical and administrative systems in support of DPHC business, dissemination of best practice to ensure standardisation and efficiency of use. The ISSO works to the Operations Manager (Ops Mgr).
This is a peripatetic role and successful candidate will be required to travel to Medical facilities within DPHC East Region.

Person specification
Duties Will Include, But Are Not Limited To
Acting as a central focus for PHC system issues. Testing problems and issues and forwarding to appropriate authority where necessary. Utilising regional Subject Matter Experts (SME) to encourage information and skill sharing within PHC System.
Assisting and advising medical centres on use and data input of PHC System. Assisting and training staff to extract statistical and strategic data from the system.
Providing support alongside the Data Management Officer (DMO) in instructing and assisting staff to configure Operating Systems and the use of Microsoft Office applications (including Sharepoint) and equipment where appropriate.
Co-managing change requests for ModNet. Co-managing the implementation of approved change requests, ensure hardware and software is installed appropriately and meets the needs of the business.
