Overview
We are looking for a Medior Middleware Architect for a long-term assignment in a key European port city. This role involves a mix of architecture, documentation, and management. We need a hands-on professional with expertise in structure, completeness, tools, automation, and reporting. You will help define the IT landscape and ensure that the right data is accessible for decision-making.
Job Description
In this position, the Medior Middleware Architect will be responsible for managing and documenting middleware interfaces and maintaining various architecture and configuration tools. You will play a crucial role in the Enterprise Architecture team, ensuring the IT landscape is up-to-date and well-documented. Collaboration with both technical and functional stakeholders is key, as well as ensuring the quality, consistency, and completeness of architecture documentation and IT configurations.
Key Responsibilities
Middleware Interface Management:
Oversee and document all middleware interfaces between IT systems.
Monitor integration points to ensure proper coordination across different systems.
Provide periodic updates and ensure all interface registrations are complete.
CMDB Maintenance (Configuration Management Database):
Maintain accurate, up-to-date information about IT infrastructure and application components.
Conduct regular consistency checks.
Manage the timely processing of new configuration items.
ArchiMate Model Management:
Update and maintain architectural models using the ArchiMate framework.
Compare models with data from the CMDB and other sources.
Utilize version control (e.g., Git) and automation tools (e.g., CI/CD) where applicable.
Enterprise Architecture Management (EAM) Platform Updates:
Update lifecycle information for IT solutions (new, current, or decommissioned systems).
Ensure alignment between EAM, CMDB, and architecture models.
Evaluate and optimize reporting tools and dashboards, including Power BI and SharePoint.
Collaboration and Reporting:
Work closely with internal IT teams, project managers, and architects.
Report on progress and quality to stakeholders.
Contribute ideas to improve processes, methodologies, and practices within IT architecture management.
Skills and Competencies
Strong understanding of middleware and integration in complex IT environments.
Experience managing CMDBs and working with architecture models (preferably ArchiMate).
Familiarity with EAM tools and frameworks.
High attention to detail and a focus on documentation and process quality.
Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
