Job Title: Technical Writer/Content Developer
Location: Manchester, UK
Job Mode: Initially a 12-month contract(with the potential for extension)
Rate: 260-275 GBP/Day (Outside IR35)

Job Overview
The Technical Writer/Content Developer is responsible for independently creating accurate, concise, and audience-appropriate technical documentation for a global audience in various electronic formats. The role involves close collaboration with Engineering, Project Management, Product Marketing, Service teams, and the global content development community.

Key Responsibilities
- Write and manage well-structured technical content based on inputs from subject matter experts (SMEs).
- Evaluate, validate, and convert raw data into high-quality documentation.
- Plan and track project deliverables, ensuring adherence to timelines and standards.
- Follow established content development tools, guidelines, and processes to support content localization and downstream efficiency.
- Collaborate in cross-functional teams, attend meetings, and maintain stakeholder relationships.
- Adapt to new tools and technologies as needed.
- Identify and report project risks promptly.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with significant technical writing experience, preferably in a technology-related domain.

Skills & Experience
- Strong technical or scientific writing ability.
- Experience with DITA/XML, structured authoring, content reuse, and metadata tagging.
- Skilled in tools such as JIRA and content management systems.
- Familiarity with localization processes and style guides.
- Understanding of agile development and release cycles.
- Ability to write in formats like HTML/XML.
- Excellent communication, organization, and adaptability skills.
