**Job title:** Cloud and Edge Infrastructure Solution Architect
**Role Summary:**
Senior technical architect responsible for designing, deploying, and optimizing cloud and edge (OT) infrastructure across enterprise environments. Leads migration initiatives, enforces security, cost‑efficiency, and reliability standards, and mentors engineering teams to expand cloud capabilities.
**Expactations:**
- Lead end‑to‑end cloud and edge architecture design.
- Manage migration projects from on‑premise or hybrid to cloud native solutions.
- Ensure compliance with security, regulatory, and operational requirements.
- Mentor and elevate cloud engineering talent within the organization.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Architecture & design of scalable, secure, industry‑best‑practice cloud and edge solutions using IaaS, PaaS, IaC, and DevOps principles.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute cloud migration projects (data center, hybrid, cloud‑native).
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions).
- Automate infrastructure via Terraform, Ansible, ARM templates, and Kubernetes.
- Implement cost‑management (FinOps) strategies and monitor usage.
- Collaborate with security specialists to validate compliance and threat models.
- Troubleshoot complex technical incidents, support incident response, and drive post‑mortem learnings.
- Conduct research, prototype new tools, and evaluate emerging cloud technologies.
- Produce and maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and best‑practice guides.
**Required Skills:**
*Technical:*
- Deep expertise in at least one major cloud platform (Azure, AWS, GCP) and experience with SAP Cloud.
- Proficiency in infrastructure‑as‑code (Terraform, Ansible, ARM).
- Extensive knowledge of CI/CD, container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud networking/security.
- Experience with edge/OT infrastructure (e.g., Azure HCI) and related ecosystems (Rockwell, FactoryTalk).
- Strong understanding of performance, availability, and disaster‑recovery principles.

- Comfortable working independently and cross‑functionally.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 10+ years of cloud infrastructure architecture at enterprise scale.
- Cloud provider certifications (Azure Solutions Architect, AWS Solutions Architect, or Google Cloud Professional Architect) preferred.
- Additional certifications in DevOps, security, or OT architectures are advantageous.
