Job Description
Job Title: Asset Management Specialist Role Summary: Lead regional asset management operations, ensuring compliance with global policies, accurate inventory control, and secure disposal of data‑bearing assets. Expactations: - Execute end‑to‑end lifecycle management for non‑data‑center IT assets. - Maintain rigorous inventory accuracy, chain‑of‑custody documentation, and reconciliations across multiple systems. - Drive continuous improvement of governance frameworks and standard operating procedures. Key Responsibilities: - Coordinate asset disposal, secure shipping, and data‑erasure activities to meet security and compliance standards. - Capture and validate serial numbers, chassis and drive identifiers, and other asset details using firm tools. - Reconcile asset inventories across ServiceNow, Deco Tracker, Disk Tracker, and other platforms. - Produce global reporting on asset status, compliance metrics, and audit readiness. - Support adoption of standard inventory tools and shipping protocols across the organization. - Conduct site visits to logistics vendors and firm locations as needed. - Partner with Assessment, Entitlements, Reporting, and Audit teams to identify risks and implement corrective actions. - Represent regional requirements in global team communications and decision‑making forums. Required Skills: - Strong attention to detail and procedural discipline. - Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, cross‑functional environment. - Leadership influence without formal authority. - Excellent written and verbal communication, including executive presentation. - Advanced MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project, Visio) with data manipulation and automation proficiency. - Analytical mindset with proven problem‑solving capabilities. - Experience in IT hardware asset management or related lifecycle roles. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Technology, or related field. - Industry certifications such as Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP), or equivalent preferred.
