**Job Title:** Payroll Manager, Europe
**Role Summary**
Lead end-to-end payroll operations across multiple European countries within a global payroll model. Oversee payroll teams, ensure compliance with local and global regulations, and collaborate with HR, Finance, and global leadership to maintain accurate and timely payroll processes.
**Expectations**
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or related field. 7+ years payroll experience, including 3+ years in a managerial or regional leadership role. Experience managing multi-country payroll in Europe using global aggregators (e.g., ADP Celergo, Safeguard, CloudPay).
**Key Responsibilities**
- Execute accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing for all European countries, adhering to local labor and tax laws.
- Implement pre- and post-payroll controls aligned with global standards.
- Manage payroll specialists, ensuring workload balance, performance, and professional development.
- Coordinate with HR and Finance for data validation, accruals, and reporting.
- Monitor regulatory changes and update payroll processes to maintain compliance (e.g., GDPR, tax codes).
- Lead new country onboarding, payroll transitions, and system enhancements.
- Act as regional payroll lead, collaborating with global teams on process automation and governance.
**Required Skills**
- Expertise in global aggregate payroll systems (e.g., ADP Celergo, Safeguard).
- In-depth knowledge of European labor regulations, tax requirements, and data privacy laws.
- Advanced Excel proficiency.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities for payroll accuracy.
- Cross-functional collaboration with HR, Finance, and IT stakeholders.
- Fluency in English; additional European languages preferred.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, HR, or equivalent field.
- Professional payroll certifications (e.g., CPP, CIPP) beneficial but not mandatory.
