**Job Title** Senior Embedded Software Engineer **Role Summary** Senior embedded software engineer leading the development of flight and ground‑station software for HyLighter, a next‑generation airship. The role focuses on PX4 and QGroundControl integration, microcontroller system design, avionics reliability enhancement, and operational testing infrastructure. **Expectations** - Assume ownership early and drive continuous improvement. - Actively contribute to technical leadership within the engineering team. - Deliver high‑quality, reliable embedded solutions within tight timelines. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and integrate embedded firmware for HyLighter’s flight systems and ground station. - Enhance robustness and reliability of existing avionics and electronic components. - Participate in system architecture design and technical studies for future features. - Configure and program microcontroller‑based bench tests, operational trailers, and custom manufacturing equipment. - Implement multi‑payload integration and automate data capture workflows. - Maintain and expand testing and operational infrastructure (oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, etc.). - Collaborate closely with PCB designers and hardware engineers. - Contribute to PX4, QGroundControl, and related open‑source projects. - Mentor junior engineers and influence technical direction. **Required Skills** - Embedded programming: C/C++ and Python. - Microcontrollers: ESP32, Atmega328, Pixhawk, STM32 (class III). - Communication protocols: UART, CAN, I2C, SPI, PWM, RS485. - Single‑board computers: Raspberry Pi or equivalent SBCs. - Tools: PX4, QGroundControl, Git/Github, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers. - PCB design, power electronics, system sizing, sensor integration. - Autonomous execution, strong problem‑solving, and analytical mindset. - Comfortable in fast‑paced multidisciplinary teams. - Proficiency in English; French preferred. - Prior robotics or UAV projects a plus. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Embedded Systems, Electronics, Mechatronics, or equivalent. - Relevant certifications in embedded programming, UAVs, or electronics are a bonus but not mandatory.
