**Job Title:** Global Head of Privacy & AI Governance
**Role Summary**
Lead the global privacy and AI governance function, aligning security, legal, and product teams to embed privacy‑by‑design and responsible AI into company strategy. Develop, implement, and evolve privacy programs and AI governance frameworks to meet evolving regulatory requirements and support rapid, safe technology innovation.
**Expectations**
- Drive a global privacy and AI strategy that balances compliance, risk mitigation, and business growth.
- Lead, mentor, and influence cross‑functional teams across geographic regions.
- Translate evolving laws (GDPR, EU AI Act, CCPA, etc.) into operating procedures and technical controls.
- Serve as the subject‑matter expert and primary advisor on privacy and AI matters to senior executives and external regulators.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Design and maintain a strategic privacy programme aligned with business objectives.
2. Build an agile AI governance framework enabling rapid, secure adoption of generative AI and ML tools.
3. Develop a scalable core‑flex operating model that optimises cost through offshore/nearshore work while preserving surge capacity for incidents.
4. Lead internal training and awareness on responsible AI, ethical data, and privacy best practices.
5. Partner with legal, information security, HR, and production teams to embed privacy and AI principles in policies, tools, and product pipelines.
6. Oversee the selection, implementation, and management of privacy/AI tools (consent managers, data discovery, ML‑ops governance) and integrate controls into the data architecture.
7. Create and enforce privacy policies, standards, and procedures; monitor emerging global privacy and AI regulations; proactively adjust frameworks.
8. Conduct PIAs, DPIAs, and AI impact assessments, recommending risk mitigation strategies.
9. Manage breach notification, data subject requests, and privacy complaints in compliance with applicable laws.
10. Maintain a 'sandbox' environment for testing AI tools, establishing vetting and approval processes.
**Required Skills**
- Deep knowledge of global privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, etc.) and AI governance frameworks.
- Proven experience building privacy and AI programs in a large multinational setting.
- Strong leadership, stakeholder management, and cross‑functional influence.
- Technical understanding of privacy‑by‑design, CI/CD pipelines, data pipelines, ML‑ops, and consent‑management platforms.
- Analytical ability to conduct PIAs/DPIAs/AIIAs and translate findings into actionable controls.
- Excellent communication skills for policy translation, training, and executive reporting.
- Project and change‑management expertise, including cost optimisation and resource allocation.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Computer Science, Information Security, Business, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPP/US, CIPM, CISM, CISA, or ISO 27001 Lead Implementer preferred.
