Senior DevOps Automation Engineer (AWS Cloud Native)
**Role Summary**
Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud‑native automation and testing frameworks for non‑production AWS environments. Drive reliability, scalability, and performance through modern DevOps practices, IaC, and continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD).
**Expectations**
- Deliver end‑to‑end automation solutions that improve deployment speed and reduce errors.
- Mentor and influence cross‑functional teams on DevOps, security, and cloud‑native best practices.
- Proactively identify, diagnose, and resolve infrastructure and application issues.
- Maintain high availability and resilience of CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
- Continuously evaluate emerging technologies and recommend strategic enhancements.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, build, and maintain testing and automation frameworks for AWS environments.
- Develop, optimize, and manage CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Jenkins, and related tools.
- Automate repetitive tasks across infrastructure, testing, and deployments with Terraform, Helm, Bash, or Python.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and prevent performance or reliability issues in applications and infrastructure.
- Advocate and implement DevOps, security, and cloud‑native best practices across teams.
- Partner with development teams to identify automation opportunities and mentor peers.
- Deploy and maintain automation tools in AWS and Kubernetes environments.
- Create and maintain procedural and troubleshooting documentation.
- Assess emerging technologies and recommend improvements to the DevOps strategy.
**Required Skills**
- 7+ years of DevOps experience with a strong automation focus.
- Proficiency in CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Groovy).
- Expertise in IaC tools (Terraform, Ansible, Helm).
- Strong Linux administration and scripting skills (Bash, Python).
- Deep understanding of AWS services (EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, CloudWatch, IAM).
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration.
- Familiarity with Agile methodologies (Scrum, Kanban).
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and mentorship abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- AWS Cloud Certification (preferred).
