Job Description
Job Title: Finance Manager – Interim Consulting Role Summary: Provide interim financial leadership for a multi‑site manufacturing organization, driving stable operations, accurate reporting, cost control, and strategic financial partnership with executive management. Expectations: 3–6‑month consulting assignment; on‑site presence; deliver rapid structure, reporting improvements, and operational support in a dynamic environment. Key Responsibilities - Oversee day‑to‑day finance and accounting across multiple manufacturing sites. - Own monthly close, financial reporting, forecasting, and management reporting cycles. - Partner with operations to perform cost accounting, inventory valuation, margin analysis, and plant‑level performance assessment. - Lead controllers and finance managers, ensuring consistency and discipline across locations. - Evaluate and enhance finance processes, controls, and systems, implementing practical improvements. - Manage cash flow, working capital optimization, and short‑term financial planning. - Serve as a trusted finance advisor to executive leadership throughout the engagement. Required Skills - Proven experience as Finance Manager, Head of Finance, VP Finance, Controller, or CFO in manufacturing. - Strong background in cost accounting and multi‑site operations. - Ability to thrive in ambiguous environments and quickly establish structure and accountability. - Demonstrated track record of stabilizing teams, improving reporting accuracy, and executing fast results. - Comfortable working in PE‑backed or highly operational businesses. - Strategic and tactical mindset, willing to roll up sleeves and execute. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field. - CPA, CMA, or equivalent professional certification preferred.
