Job Description
Job title: Cloud Architect Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and continuous optimization of the organization’s cloud environment, ensuring scalable, secure, and cost‑effective solutions that support evolving business objectives. Expectations: - Drive cloud strategy and roadmap alignment with business goals. - Deliver high‑availability, disaster‑recovery, and security‑compliant architectures. - Mentor and influence cross‑functional teams on cloud best practices. Key Responsibilities: - Design, document, and maintain cloud‑based solutions using IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation). - Analyze and reform existing architectures for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency. - Plan and execute cloud migrations and environment updates with minimal disruption. - Implement site‑reliability engineering practices; configure monitoring, logging, and alerting. - Manage cloud cost optimization initiatives and capacity planning. - Enforce security controls, compliance, and participate in audits and risk assessments. - Evaluate emerging cloud services and recommend adoption. - Communicate technical concepts to technical and non‑technical stakeholders. Required Skills: - Proven expertise in AWS (mandatory), with knowledge of Azure or GCP a plus. - Strong background in networking, virtualization, security, and cloud monitoring/logging. - Proficiency with IaC tools, containerization (Docker), orchestration (Kubernetes), and DevOps practices. - Analytical, problem‑solving, and leadership skills. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. - 8+ years of technology experience, including 3+ years in cloud architecture/implementation. - Valid cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional; optional Azure, GCP).
