Summary
The Cloud Architect will lead the ongoing evolution and optimization of our existing cloud environment. This role demands a deep understanding of cloud platforms, infrastructure, and services, with a focus on translating evolving business needs into scalable, secure, and cost-effective cloud solutions. The Cloud Architect will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and ensure our cloud infrastructure remains aligned with strategic goals. Must be fluent in AWS cloud infrastructure, multiple cloud technologies is a plus.
Responsibilities
Cloud Strategy and Optimization:
Develop and maintain the organization's cloud strategy and roadmap.
Design and architect cloud-based solutions that meet business requirements.
Analyze existing cloud architectures and identify areas for improvement.
Evaluate and integrate new cloud services and technologies into the existing environment.
Create detailed architecture diagrams and documentation.
Cloud Environment Management
Lead the ongoing management and refinement of our existing cloud infrastructure and applications.
Ensure cloud solutions are continuously optimized for scalability, reliability, and security.
Automate cloud infrastructure management and optimization using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools.
Oversee cloud environment updates and migrations with minimal disruption.
Design and implement site reliability, high availability, and disaster recovery
Oversee cloud migrations.
Cloud Optimization And Management
Monitor cloud performance and identify optimization opportunities.
Implement cost optimization strategies.
Manage cloud security and compliance.
Troubleshoot and resolve cloud-related issues.
Collaboration And Communication
Collaborate with development, operations, and security teams.
Communicate cloud concepts and best practices to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship.
Security And Compliance
Ensure cloud solutions adhere to industry best practices and compliance requirements.
Implement security controls and monitoring.
Participate in security audits and risk assessments.
Staying Current
Stay up-to-date on emerging cloud technologies and trends.
Evaluate and recommend new cloud services and tools.

Competitive Salary $155,000 - $175,000 depending on experience

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, related field, or experience.
8+ years of technology experience
3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation.
Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and technologies.
Experience with one or more major cloud platforms, AWS is required (AWS, Azure, GCP).
Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
Knowledge of networking, security, and virtualization.
Experience with cloud monitoring and logging tools.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect).
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools.
