Job title: Senior Security Architect
Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and governance of enterprise‑wide security architectures, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals and regulatory requirements.
Expactations: Deliver comprehensive security roadmaps, influence executive decision‑making, and drive secure, scalable solutions across network, cloud, endpoint, and data domains while maintaining up‑to‑date threat knowledge and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create and present Information Security Architecture roadmaps and executive briefings.
- Lead architecture discussions, define technical security requirements, and set industry‑best‑practice standards.
- Design and implement end‑to‑end security solutions covering network, cloud, endpoint, data, authentication, encryption, GRC, and IAM.
- Conduct security assessments, penetration testing, and compliance validation against ITSG‑22, ITSG‑33, ISO 2700x, PCI‑DSS, and other frameworks.
- Provide technical guidance and support to internal teams and client stakeholders.
- Monitor emerging threats, technologies, and regulatory changes, updating architectures accordingly.
- Participate in SA&A processes, SRTM mapping, and integration with Agile delivery cycles.
Required Skills:
- 10+ years in Information Security, 5+ years in Security Architecture.
- Deep knowledge of SA&A, ITSG‑22/33, SRTM, ISO 2700x, TOGAF, ITIL, PCI‑DSS, Agile.
- Proven expertise in authentication, encryption, identity & access management, GRC, and network/cloud security design.
- Strong communication, stakeholder engagement, and executive‑level presentation skills.
- Ability to lead cross‑functional architecture reviews and influence decision‑makers.
- Authorized to hold a Government of Canada "Secret" security clearance.
- High integrity and professionalism, capable of handling confidential information.
- Adequate French language proficiency (for Quebec roles).
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s or Associate’s Degree in Computer Science, Systems Engineering, or related field.
- Mandatory: Government “Secret” clearance.
- Preferred Certifications: CISSP, TOGAF 9, CSM.
- Experience in business continuity, auditing, and risk management is a plus.
