Job Description
**Job Title:** Data Scientist (Manufacturing) **Role Summary:** Design, develop, and support enterprise‑level applications and analytics that enable equipment service management across Maximo, Cognos, and SAP. Create custom dashboards, reports, and tools to streamline service contracts, performance tracking, and operational workflows in a manufacturing environment. **Expectations:** - Minimum 7 years experience with Maximo, Cognos, and SAP in a manufacturing setting. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field. - Proven ability to deliver end‑to‑end business applications and data solutions independently and collaboratively. - Strong problem‑solving, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and customize Maximo dashboards, portlets, and start centers to optimize workflows. - Build and maintain Cognos dashboards, reports, and ad‑hoc queries for actionable insights. - Develop and tune SAP queries and reports to extract critical business data. - Lead the creation of an online service contract renewal system integrated with Maximo and SAP, including automated notifications and customer portal functionality. - Partner with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into data‑driven solutions. - Conduct testing, quality assurance, and produce documentation (SOPs, technical guides). - Provide end‑user training, support, and ad‑hoc reporting assistance. **Required Skills:** - SQL, Java, JavaScript. - Relational databases: Oracle, SQL Server. - Data warehousing concepts and implementation. - Expertise in Maximo, Cognos, SAP integration and customization. - Dashboard and report development best practices. - Business analysis and requirement gathering. - Strong written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a closely related discipline. - (Certifications optional; not required.)
