Job Description
**Job Title:** Head of Sales – Travel Retail **Role Summary:** Lead the commercial strategy for a family‑owned premium wine company’s Travel Retail (Duty Free) channel, driving 9 M€ in revenue across ~100 countries. Deliver a 50% growth target in two years through account recovery, new partner acquisition, and market expansion while maintaining profitability and brand consistency. **Expectations:** - Achieve a 50 % increase in Travel Retail revenue within 24 months. - Restore and grow key accounts (e.g., Lagardère, Heinemann). - Expand into new Duty Free markets and secure high‑value distributor partnerships. - Provide accurate, actionable sales forecasts and KPI reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Define and execute the international Duty Free strategy. 2. Directly manage existing strategic accounts and negotiate new contracts. 3. Identify, evaluate, and onboard new distributors and partners. 4. Deploy market‑specific sales plans and promotional activities. 5. Build realistic sales forecasts, monitor margins, ROI, and KPI dashboards. 6. Coordinate with internal teams (Ambassador, Golf/Palace, Institutions) to ensure brand alignment. **Required Skills:** - 8+ years in Duty Free / Travel Retail, preferably in wine, spirits, or luxury. - Proven key‑account management and international negotiation experience. - Expertise in market development, pricing, and margin optimization. - Strong storytelling ability for wine products (terroir, winemakers). - Field‑ready: able to visit salons, airports, and client meetings. - Entrepreneurial, autonomous, agile, and results‑focused. - Comfortable operating within a family‑owned small‑to‑medium enterprise. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA preferred). - Sales, trade marketing, or luxury‑sector certifications are a plus.
