Job Description
**Job title** Security Operations Manager **Role Summary** Lead the planning, scheduling, and management of security staffing for a large operational environment. Utilize data-driven insights to produce weekly to 52‑week resource plans, manage rosters, monitor workforce metrics, and ensure compliance with health and safety and regulatory standards. **Expactations** - Deliver accurate, data‑based resource plans that align with operational demand and SLAs. - Maintain up‑to‑date roster and attendance records, and manage leave, overtime, and contractual hours. - Serve as the primary point of contact for roster queries and facilitation of staffing changes. - Lead quarterly resource meetings, provide interim coverage for short‑term planning, and collaborate closely with operational line managers. **Key Responsibilities** - Develop and update 6–52 week resource plans using airline schedules, forecasts, and workforce analytics. - Build seasonal and individual rosters that balance staffing supply, meet demand, and accommodate flexible working requests. - Use planning tools to identify long‑term resourcing gaps and maintain accurate rostering and attendance systems. - Produce monthly and annual workforce reports, monitor leave, overtime, and contractual hours, and ensure training compliance. - Act as the main contact for roster queries, onboarding support, and contract or shift preference changes. - Collaborate with Security Operational Line Managers to meet staffing needs and adjust plans as required. - Lead quarterly resource planning meetings, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety and Department for Transport standards. - Provide cover for mid‑ and short‑term planning as needed. **Required Skills** - Proven experience creating and managing optimized staff rosters. - Strong supervisory or team‑leadership background. - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency, including data analysis and reporting. - Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills. - Ability to analyse complex data and translate findings into effective staffing solutions. - High attention to detail and strong organisational abilities. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Human Resources, Operations, or a related field. - Willingness to obtain and maintain a Counter‑Terrorist Clearance. - Knowledge of health and safety regulations and Department for Transport standards.
