Birmingham Airport are seeking a highly organised, analytical, and proactive Security Resource Lead to join their Security Business Support team. This is a key role responsible for building, managing and maintaining long-term resource planning and rosters for our Security Operation.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Develop 6–52 week resource plans, translating airline schedules and forecasts into workforce requirements.
Build seasonal and individual rosters aligned with demand, SLAs, working practices, and flexible working requests.
Use planning tools to balance staffing supply, identify long-term resourcing gaps, and maintain accurate rostering and attendance systems.
Produce monthly and annual reports, monitor annual leave, overtime, contractual hours, and ensure training compliance.
Act as the main contact for roster queries, support onboarding, and manage contract or shift preference changes.
Work closely with Security Operational Line Managers to meet staffing needs.
Lead quarterly resource planning meetings, ensure compliance with Health & Safety and Department for Transport standards, and provide cover for mid- and short-term planning when required

What We’re Looking For:

Proven experience creating and managing optimised staff rosters.
Strong supervisory or team leadership background.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
Ability to analyse complex data and turn it into effective staffing solutions.
High attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
Willingness to obtain and maintain Counter Terrorist Clearance.
Commitment to maintaining safety, legal compliance, and best practices.
