Job title: DevOps Engineer
Role Summary: Design, implement, and maintain scalable CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code for both on‑premises and cloud environments. Own production deployments, monitoring, incident response, and continuous improvement of developer experience and system reliability.
Expectations: Deliver fast, reliable, and cost‑effective deployments with strong security and operational excellence. Own and iterate on infrastructure standards, automation, and cloud cost optimization. Maintain a strong focus on simplicity, scalability, and maintainability while balancing trade‑offs.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for on‑premises and cloud systems.
- Implement infrastructure-as-code (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Own production deployments, monitoring, alerting, and incident response.
- Partner with development teams to improve developer experience and tooling.
- Automate manual processes to reduce operational overhead.
- Implement comprehensive monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions.
- Define and enforce infrastructure standards and best practices.
- Enhance system security, secrets management, and access controls.
- Keep infrastructure lean, scalable, and cost‑aware.
Required Skills
- 2–5 years experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering.
- Proficiency with Linux‑based systems.
- Hands‑on with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Experience with CI/CD tools (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins).
- Infrastructure‑as‑code expertise (Terraform, CloudFormation, etc.).
- Containerization knowledge (Docker, Kubernetes – basic to intermediate).
- Scripting skills in Python, Bash, or similar.
- Networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing).
- Security practices (secrets management, IAM, least privilege).
- Supporting high‑availability or distributed systems.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
- US citizenship.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical field.
- (Optional) Relevant certifications such as AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Azure DevOps Engineer Expert, or Certified Kubernetes Administrator are advantageous.
