Job Specifications
We are seeking a DevOps engineer with a good cultural fit, to help build and scale the digital infrastructure of Peak Nano. Reporting to the Sr. Development Leader of the Software & Digital Infrastructure Team (SDI), you’ll work closely with a small engineering team to improve deployment speed, reliability, and security while keeping systems simple and cost-effective.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on ownership, making practical tradeoffs, and building systems that scale without over-engineering.
Key Responsibilities
Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines for both on-premises and cloud-hosing systems
Design and manage software infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code
Own production deployments, monitoring, and incident response
Partner directly with engineers to improve developer experience
Automate manual processes and reduce software infrastructure operational overhead
Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting
Help define infrastructure standards and best practices
Improve system security, secrets management, and access controls
Keep software infrastructure lean, scalable, and cost-aware
Required Qualifications
BS in Software Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent technical education
2–5 years of experience in DevOps, SRE, or platform engineering roles
Strong experience with Linux-based systems.
Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud provider (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins)
Infrastructure as Code experience (Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar)
Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes (basic to intermediate)
Scripting experience (Python, Bash or similar)
Understanding of networking fundamentals (DNS, TCP/IP, load balancing)
Knowledge of security practices (Secrets management, IAM, least privilege)
Experience supporting high-availability or distributed systems
Strong communication skills to collaborate with others and interact with diverse groups
US Citizen
Preferred Qualifications
Cost optimization in cloud environments
Experience with multi-environment (dev/staging/prod) setups
Exposure to compliance or regulated environments
Configure and manage databases such as PostgreSQL
