Job Description
**Job Title** Project Unit Manager (F/M) **Role Summary** Lead and develop a portfolio of projects by managing a team of 11 project leads. Drive the planning, execution, and delivery of strategic and large‑account projects. Own the governance, methodology, tooling, and reporting framework to ensure quality, cost, schedule, and risk objectives are met. **Expectations** - Deliver projects on time, within scope and budget. - Maintain and improve project governance and processes. - Foster a high‑performance, collaborative team culture. - Communicate progress and risks to senior management and key stakeholders. **Key Responsibilities** 1. **Team Management** - Conduct daily/periodic service meetings. - Oversee all project‑team tasks. - Perform individual performance reviews and career development discussions. - Manage discipline, performance, and training needs. - Define resource requirements, recruit, and onboard new team members. 2. **Project Support & Governance** - Partner with project leads on steering, methodology, and communication. - Develop action plans and schedule phasing. - Lead “major account” and strategic projects assigned by senior leadership. 3. **Tool & Process Management** - Integrate and evolve project management tools to meet internal and client needs. - Design, monitor, and continuously improve project governance processes. - Transfer knowledge to team members and assist in execution. 4. **Portfolio Oversight** - Establish and track KPIs (quality, cost, schedule, risk). - Ensure scope fidelity and contract compliance. 5. **Reporting** - Produce financial, time‑and‑resource, margin, and other strategic reports for senior leaders and project heads. 6. **Stakeholder Interface** - Coordinate with Operations, technical, and support services internally. - Liaise with external client stakeholders, including ticketing system users and prospects. **Required Skills** - Project Management (PMO/Project Steering) - Leadership, team motivation, and coaching - Process design, documentation, and improvement - Risk identification, mitigation, and reporting - Cross‑functional collaboration and communication - Proficient in English (written & spoken) - Familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Jira, Confluence) **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum 5‑year bachelor’s or master’s degree (e.g., Business, Engineering, Computer Science, Project Management) - At least 3 years of senior project management experience, preferably in a software or technology environment - Relevant certifications (e.g., PMP, Prince2, PMI‑PMP, or equivalent) are an asset.
