**Job Title:** Senior DevOps Engineer
**Role Summary:**
Design, build, and maintain CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure-as-code, and monitoring solutions that enable rapid, secure delivery of high‑quality software across a cloud‑native environment. Drive reliability, performance, and cost‑efficiency of production systems while collaborating closely with engineering, product, and operations teams.
**Expectations:**
- 2+ years of DevOps/infrastructure engineering experience.
- Proven expertise in AWS, container orchestration (K8s or ECS), and CI/CD automation.
- Ability to write IaC scripts (Terraform/OpenTofu, CloudFormation, or CDK) and manage Git‑based workflows.
- Strong knowledge of Linux/Windows environments, networking, databases, and security best practices.
- Excellent communication, problem‑solving, and documentation skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and maintain scalable, secure CI/CD pipelines.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using IaC.
- Implement monitoring, logging, and observability (e.g., OpenTelemetry).
- Architect cost‑efficient, highly available cloud infrastructure in AWS.
- Apply shift‑left security throughout the SDLC.
- Remove deployment bottlenecks to improve developer velocity.
- Ensure production systems meet performance, reliability, and cost goals.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to align technical solutions with business objectives.
- Identify and mitigate risks, inefficiencies, and improvement opportunities.
**Required Skills:**
- Cloud platforms: AWS (mandatory); experience with Azure, GCP, or DigitalOcean is a plus.
- Containerization: Kubernetes or ECS.
- CI/CD tools: Git, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.
- IaC tools: Terraform/OpenTofu, CloudFormation, or CDK.
- Scripting: Bash, Python, or equivalent.
- Networking: load balancing, VPC, security groups, IAM.
- Databases: relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL).
- Monitoring/Observability: Prometheus, Grafana, OpenTelemetry, or similar.
- Security: application security, performance optimization, reliability best practices.
- Collaboration and documentation tools.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
- Certifications (preferred but not mandatory): AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, or equivalent.
