**Job title** Matchday Experience & Events Manager **Role Summary** Lead the design and delivery of the Matchday Experience (MDEX) at the club’s stadium, ensuring fans receive a holistic, branded experience before, during, and after home matches. Manage cross‑functional teams, budget, partners, and secondary events to drive fan engagement, revenue, and a high NPS score. **Expactations** - Deliver an NPS score above +50 and improve MDEX satisfaction year‑on‑year. - Increase fan engagement across all touchpoints, aligning with the new “Gladiatorial Spirit” brand. - Drive participation in secondary events (pre‑season launches, member and grassroots events) that attract new demographic segments. - Position the club as a top destination for local and international visitors. **Key Responsibilities** - Shape MDEX strategy in partnership with Head of Marketing and Communications. - Own the end‑to‑end fan journey: ticket purchase → matchday → post‑match survey. - Coordinate cross‑functional execution of matchday and secondary events. - Manage an annual budget of £100,000+, negotiate contracts with external partners and agencies. - Administer and analyse post‑match MDEX surveys, feeding insights into continuous improvement. - Champion the visibility of the new stadium and brand identity across all fan touchpoints. **Required Skills** - Minimum 1 year experience in events management, preferably sports. - Hands‑on, operational planning of complex events. - Strong organisational skills, able to run multiple events simultaneously. - Excellent communication, persuasive stakeholder engagement. - Customer‑excellence mindset with a track record of improving service quality. - Creative problem‑solving and innovation to deliver best‑in‑class experiences. - Commercial awareness: ability to align delivery with revenue objectives. - Team‑oriented, inclusive collaboration across departments. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Event Management, Hospitality, or related field preferred. - Professional certifications in event planning or project management (e.g., CMP, PPM) a plus.
