Job title: Matchday (MDEX) Experience & Events Manager

Reporting to: Head of Marketing, Matchday Experience & Communications

Department: Marketing

Location: Farleigh House, Farleigh Hungerford, Bath and work and meetings at the Recreation Ground, Bath (the "Rec")

The key purpose of this role is to lead on the delivery the Matchday Experience at The Rec for all home matches to make The Rec one of the most iconic stadiums to watch rugby in and engaging all fans who visit to give them a memorable, brilliant experience and wanting to come back again.

Key Responsibilities:

Support in shaping the overall Matchday experience strategy at the Rec with the Head of Marketing, MDEX & Comms, creating a vision of what we want to build and a pathway to getting their - keeping our new stadium in mind.
Lead the delivery of the MDEX at the Rec for all home matches from a fan engagement perspective - leading a cross-functional team to deliver a holistic experience and working closely with operations to deliver.
Own the end-to-end fan journey on a Matchday from ticket purchase through to post match survey - obsessing about the user experience at every stage.
Manage the MDEX post-match survey ensuring a continuous learning process to optimise the experience
Define & deliver a range of secondary events (to be defined at the start of the season) designed to engage fans including pre-season launch, Member Events and Grassroots events
Manage MDEX budget (+PS100K per annum) and external partners & agencies you select to deliver

Fans who pay good money to visit The Rec feel like they have had a fantastic holistic experience outside of just watching a rugby match - we consistently deliver an NPS score of +50 supported by high scores across other key criteria
We deliver a range of different matchday experiences that are designed to appeal to new fan demographics for different matches
We are bringing our new Brand ID to life - Gladiatorial Spirit - across all touchpoints of the MDEX experience from sound, visual, music and atmosphere
We have an engaged set of partners who we use on a regular basis to activate across different matchday experiences
The secondary events that we run throughout the season are popular with fans driving brilliant engagement with audiences
Bath Rugby is regularly featured as one of the top things to do in the city for national & international tourists
We are ready to elevate the Matchday Experience with the arrival of our new stadium with exciting plans

KPIs

* We have consistently the highest NPS score & other relevant metrics in the PRL (currently third)

* Year on Year improvements in MDEX survey (tracked through our database)



Skillset

At least one years' experience in an events management role.
Hands-on and operational experience implementing and planning events, with a knowledge of Rugby a distinct advantage.
Teamwork - Works collaboratively and inclusively across different departments to support the business
Highly organised and able to manage multiple events simultaneously.
Effective Communication - Persuasively communicates with others to gain support for ideas
Customer Excellence - Completes work to a high standard and continuously seeks out ways of improving performance and customer service for the greater good of the club
Creativity and Innovation - Actively seeks out new, creative, and innovative ways of working from different perspectives before determining the most appropriate course of action to deliver the best results
Commercial Mindset - Understanding how Bath Rugby drives revenue and being able to ensure that communications strategy and delivery aligns to revenue generation
