Job Description
**Job Title:** Process Engineer **Role Summary:** Responsible for ownership and day‑to‑day performance of a designated production line section in a battery cell research and manufacturing environment. Ensures safe, efficient, and repeatable processes while driving continuous improvement, KPI achievement, and cross‑functional coordination. **Expectations:** - Maintain smooth, efficient line operation with minimal downtime. - Lead root‑cause analysis and corrective actions promptly. - Achieve or exceed weekly/monthly performance targets. - Provide hands‑on support during commissioning, FAT, and SAT. - Promote safety, quality, and productivity improvements. **Key Responsibilities:** - Own a specific production line segment; monitor daily performance. - Facilitate problem‑solving meetings; document findings and actions. - Track line KPIs; initiate corrective/optimisation projects. - Coordinate with Operations, suppliers, and internal stakeholders. - Support commissioning activities and participate in FAT/SAT. - Implement continuous improvement initiatives using PFMEA, Control Plans, and Six Sigma tools. - Prepare clear reports and presentations on process status and improvements. **Required Skills:** - Minimum 5 years in manufacturing or process engineering (automotive or Tier 1/2 preferred). - Hands‑on production line management with focus on efficiency and quality. - Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint. - Strong verbal and written communication; ability to produce structured reports. - Knowledge of PFMEA, Control Plans, Six Sigma (green‑belt level or equivalent). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Manufacturing, Industrial Engineering, or related field. - Six Sigma certification (preferred, e.g., Green Belt).
