**Job Title**: Internal Auditor – FTC **Role Summary**: Deliver independent, objective findings on internal controls, compliance with regulations (Sarbanes‑Oxley, Solvency II, GDPR) and operational risks. Job Description
**Job Title:** International Catastrophe Modeller Lead **Role Summary:** Lead the catastrophe modelling function for the International region, overseeing exposure data preparation, model run and validation, portfolio roll‑ups, and communication with underwriting, pricing, and actuarial teams. **Expectations:** - Deliver reliable, data‑driven risk assessments. - Ensure model outputs align with portfolio pricing and regulatory requirements. - Continuously improve modelling processes and visual reporting. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and own the exposure data preparation workflow from data receipt to model input. - Run AIR/RMS catastrophe models and validate outputs using statistical techniques and market data. - Evaluate pricing and portfolio fit; present findings in client and broker meetings. - Produce quarterly portfolio roll‑ups and reports for management, regulators, and rating agencies. - Create and maintain dashboards (Power BI, Tableau) to communicate results. - Monitor aggregate exposures and coordinate with exposure management to control key peril limits. - Conduct research to enhance model performance and present insights to internal groups. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency with AIR or RMS models, focusing on UK/Europe property exposure. - Experience modelling and validating marine, energy, and non‑property exposures. - Strong actuarial/ pricing acumen to discuss loss ratios and historical comparisons. - Advanced Microsoft Excel with VBA. - SQL and scripting (Python or equivalent). - Excellent written and verbal communication, able to explain technical concepts to non‑technical stakeholders. - Proven ability to build and improve catastrophe modelling processes. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in a quantitative discipline (Mathematics, Science, Economics, Engineering, etc.). - 5–10+ years of catastrophe modelling experience.
