**Job Title** IT Director – Outsourced/MSP/M&A – Accountancy Professional Services Startup **Role Summary** Lead the design, implementation, and scaling of end-to-end IT and technology capabilities from the ground up for a rapidly growing, PE-backed accountancy professional services firm. Drive alignment with multiple acquisitions, partner with managed service providers (MSPs), and shape the technology operating model to support significant expansion in 2026. **Expectations** - Build IT infrastructure and technology stack for a startup environment. - Negotiate and manage relationships with MSPs, system vendors, and third‑party providers. - Develop and roll out a Target Operating Model (TOM) that supports scalability and integration of new acquisitions. - Provide senior-level commercial and strategic counsel to executive leadership. - Deliver quick, high‑impact results within a 6‑ to 12‑month engagement. **Key Responsibilities** - Architect and launch a comprehensive IT platform, including practice management systems and supporting technology. - Create and execute RFPs, contracts, and service agreements with MSPs and vendors. - Define and implement a TOM covering technology, processes, people, and governance. - Integrate acquired businesses’ IT systems into a unified, scalable platform. - Lead technology stakeholder engagement and influence executive decisions. - Oversee project delivery, ensuring milestones meet business objectives and timelines. **Required Skills** - Strategic IT leadership with start‑up and M&A experience. - Proven ability to build and scale IT platforms from scratch. - Strong vendor/off‑market engagement and contract negotiation skills. - Commercial acumen and stakeholder influence. - Experience with practice management systems (e.g., IRIS) and related software. - Project management capability in a fast‑moving environment. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or related field. - Professional certifications such as PMP, ITIL, or equivalent preferred. ---
