Job Description: **Job Title:** Senior ServiceNow Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the development and enhancement of the client’s ServiceNow platform, acting as the sole senior technical authority. Mentor a junior administrator and implement best‑practice practices across CMDB, discovery, and asset management to accelerate the organization’s ServiceNow maturity. **Expectations:** Deliver measurable improvement in platform utilization within a 3‑month engagement. Serve as the primary expertise provider, enabling the team to transition to advanced ServiceNow capabilities and prepare for a long‑term conversion. **Key Responsibilities:** - Mentor and oversee a junior ServiceNow administrator. - Define and enforce CMDB best‑practice guidelines. - Guide and optimize discovery processes. - Manage Hardware and Software Asset Management (HAM/SAM) lifecycle. - Implement basic API integrations. - Contribute to the ServiceNow roadmap, focusing on configuration management and the service catalog. - Resolve foundational ServiceNow issues and drive continuous platform improvement. **Required Skills:** - Senior‑level ServiceNow engineering experience. - Deep knowledge of CMDB, discovery, asset management (HAM/SAM), and API integration. - Proven mentoring and leadership in a technical environment. - Strong communication and stakeholder management. - Experience in healthcare IT (preferred but not mandatory). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. - ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA). - ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or equivalent.
