**Job Title:**
Technology Business Analyst
**Role Summary:**
Partner with business and technology stakeholders to translate business objectives into detailed functional, data, and technical requirements. Own the early delivery stages—intake, feasibility, planning—and support execution of large, complex technology initiatives while ensuring alignment with technical strategy and best practices.
**Expectations:**
- Apply advanced business and systems analysis to produce clear, traceable documentation from requirements to solution design.
- Meet functional and technical deliverables, maintaining high quality and adherence to stakeholder needs.
- Manage scope, risk, and benefits analysis for proposed solutions, contributing to procurement when necessary.
- Promote process improvement across BA activities and mentor junior BA staff.
- Balance Waterfall, Agile, and Hybrid methodologies, recommending innovations for continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead needs‑gathering sessions with business, translate findings into functional, data, and technology requirements.
- Support product owners and stakeholders through demand intake and project initiation.
- Conduct workshops, facilitation, and walkthroughs; obtain formal sign‑off on requirements.
- Assess impact, risk, and benefits; assist in procurement and supplier selection.
- Participate in cross‑functional prioritization, propose phasing plans to meet objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and improve BA tools and documentation.
- Foster knowledge sharing, coach team members, and contribute to BA discipline maturity.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, delivering on time and within scope.
**Required Skills:**
- Business analysis & systems analysis expertise.
- Requirements gathering, facilitation, and stakeholder management.
- Traceability and documentation (functional, data, technical).
- Risk and benefits assessment, procurement support.
- Familiarity with Waterfall, Agile, Hybrid, Lean, and OCM practices.
- Process improvement and continuous improvement mindset.
- Strong written and oral communication; presentation to varied audiences.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- **Option A:** 4‑year degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related discipline *plus* 5+ years of direct business analyst experience.
- **Option B:** 2‑year diploma in Business Administration, Business Technology Management, or related *plus* 7+ years of direct business analyst experience.
- Relevant specialized courses in Business Analysis or an equivalent recognized certification.
- IIBA certification, Lean, Agile, OCM, or Data & Analytics certifications are considered assets.
