Job Description
**Job Title**: Data Analyst **Role Summary**: Responsible for configuring, upgrading, administering, monitoring, and maintaining databases used by the organization and partners. Develops and automates reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensures data quality and profiling, and provides training and support to staff. **Expectations**: Full‑time, 35 hours per week, hybrid work model with in‑office meetings, trainings, and supervision. Must be within daily commuting distance from the office or service area. Valid G‑class driver’s licence or reliable transportation required; a police clearance is mandatory. **Key Responsibilities**: - Configure, upgrade, and maintain multiple databases (including those for developmental and mental health programs). - Administer database security, backups, and performance monitoring. - Develop SQL queries and automate data extraction and reporting for stakeholders. - Conduct data profiling, cleanse and verify data quality to meet program and funder requirements. - Provide training and documentation on database usage and data tools to staff. - Support system troubleshooting and resolve issues promptly. - Participate in special projects as needed and collaborate with cross‑functional teams. **Required Skills**: - Proficient in Linux, PHP, and MySQL 5.1. - Experience with Microsoft Access, Power BI, Excel, Power Automate, spreadsheets, and pivot tables. - Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and critical‑thinking abilities. - Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the capacity to explain technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment. - Familiarity with case management software is an asset; knowledge of mental health and developmental services is beneficial. - Second language proficiency and awareness of cultural diversity are considered assets. **Required Education & Certifications**: - Post‑secondary education (degree, diploma, or certificate). - DBA (Database Administration) certification preferred. - 1–2 years of related experience is advantageous.
