Data Analyst

One Full-Time Permanent Position

Location: Aurora, Ontario L4G3S9
must be within a commutable daily distance from the office and/or service area
Status: Permanent, Full-Time
Starting Hourly Rate: $29.87 / Hour
Office Hours: Monday - Friday - 8:30 am - 4:30 pm, 35 Hours per week
Office Expectations; Hybrid work model, with expectations in-office for meetings, trainings, and supervisions

Job Description

This role will be responsible for the configuration, upgrade, administration, monitoring and maintenance of several databases used by YSSN and partner organizations.

This individual will support databases used by Developmental Services and Mental Health programs at YSSN, ensuring effective configuration, administration, and monitoring. Key functions of the role include developing and generating automated reports for internal and external stakeholders, ensuring data profiling and data quality to support program development and meet funder expectations. The role also includes providing education and training to staff and working collaboratively with team members to ensure agency data needs are being met.

A central function of the position is generating reports by developing queries to retrieve data from the databases and ensuring data quality and assurance. Additional responsibilities may include staff training, system support, and participation in special projects as required.

Position Requirements

Post Secondary Education (DBA certification preferred)
Experience;
1-2 years working experience is considered an asset
Strong working knowledge of Linus, PHP and MYSQL 5.1
Familiarity with managing data in Microsoft Access, Microsoft Word, Power BI and Excel
Knowledge of spreadsheets, power automate, and pivot tables
Exceptional technical skills related to working with large data sets
Familiarity with case management software would be an asset
Excellent oral and written communications skills with ability to communicate and articulate technical information
Strong ability to troubleshoot and problem-solving skills along with analytical and critical thinking skills
Interest and/or working knowledge of mental health services and developmental services would be an asset
Second language is considered an asset
An understanding of cultural diversity is considered an asset
The successful applicant will be required to provide a police clearance that meets agency standards
A valid G Drivers License, vehicle and adequate insurance coverage for business responsibilities, OR access to reliable transportation
