**Job Title:** Financial Analyst (Contract) **Role Summary:** A contract financial analyst responsible for budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and delivering analytical insights to support strategic decisions across a chemical manufacturing organization. Works onsite in the Chicago/Skokie area two days per week. **Expectations:** - Deliver accurate financial models and reports on schedule. - Collaborate with department leaders to provide actionable financial recommendations. - Maintain compliance with internal controls and company policies. - Communicate findings clearly to senior leadership. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop, analyze, and maintain financial models for business planning. - Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports with variance and trend analysis. - Support annual budgeting and periodic forecasting cycles. - Analyze operating expenses, revenues, and capital expenditures for accuracy and efficiency. - Create presentation materials for senior leadership. - Ensure adherence to internal controls, policies, and best practices. **Required Skills:** - Advanced Microsoft Excel proficiency. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently and within a collaborative team. - Detail‑oriented with capability to translate complex data into insights. - Familiarity with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (preferred). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. - 2–4 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting.
