Beech Valley Solutions is assisting our client, a chemical manufacturing company in the energy and recycling space, in their search for a financial analyst. This hybrid position requires onsite presence two days per week, offering the opportunity to collaborate closely with colleagues while maintaining flexibility. The Financial Analyst will play a key role in budgeting, forecasting, financial modeling, and supporting strategic decision-making across the organization. This is a contract (1099) 40 hours/week opportunity with the potential to become a contract-to-hire opportunity. Candidates need to be local to Chicago and able to be on-site in the Skokie area 2 days per week. The start date is ASAP and duration is ongoing.

Role & Responsibilities:

Develop, analyze, and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including variance and trend analyses. Partner with department leaders to provide financial insights and recommendations.
Assist in annual budgeting and periodic forecasting processes
Analyze operating expenses, revenues, and capital expenditures to ensure financial accuracy and efficiency
Support the preparation of presentations for senior leadership. Ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and financial best practices

Candidate Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required
2-4 years of experience in financial analysis, corporate finance, or accounting
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems preferred
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently while also thriving in a collaborative team environment
Strong attention to detail, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights
