Job Title: CEO – Tech Company (Acquisition & Growth)
Role Summary: Lead the acquisition, integration, and expansion of a profitable software development studio through a co‑investment model. Drive strategic ownership, operational excellence, and scalable growth in the custom software and digital product engineering space.
Expectations:
- Serve as owner‑operator of the acquired company, responsible for financial performance, strategic direction, and day‑to‑day operations.
- Manage end‑to‑end acquisition cycle: target identification, valuation, negotiation, financing, deal closing, and post‑transaction integration.
- Leverage a co‑investment framework to secure capital and trust with sellers while minimizing upfront cash outlays.
- Use a global sales network to accelerate revenue, cross‑sell high‑margin services, and pursue strategic build‑ups or IPO readiness.
- Maintain regular communication with investor partners, provide progress reporting, and ensure compliance with agreed earn‑out terms.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Identify, evaluate, and secure acquisition targets in the custom software and digital product engineering market.
2. Perform financial due diligence, build valuation models, and conduct deal structuring and negotiation.
3. Coordinate financing arrangements under a flexible earn‑out structure and co‑investment agreements.
4. Oversee post‑acquisition integration – operational alignment, cultural assimilation, and systems consolidation.
5. Lead growth initiatives: expand service lines, expand client portfolio, execute outbound sales strategies, and drive digital transformation projects.
6. Collaborate with partner investors to provide fundraising, balance‑sheet support, and strategic guidance.
7. Report to stakeholders on financial performance, milestones, and risk mitigation.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience in M&A, including target sourcing, valuation, negotiation, and integration.
- Strong financial acumen (profit & loss, cash flow, EBITDA analysis).
- Leadership and people management in a technology or service‑based environment.
- Deep understanding of custom software, web/mobile platform, and enterprise digital transformation solutions.
- Ability to build and leverage sales networks, secure qualified leads, and drive B2B cross‑selling.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, or related field.
- MBA or equivalent advanced degree preferred.
- Professional certifications such as CPA, CFA, or similar are an asset.
