Job Description

Job title: Laboratory Teaching Assistant Role Summary Assist in preparing, conducting, and managing science laboratory activities for students, ensuring a safe, organized, and efficient learning environment. Expatations Maintain accuracy and cleanliness in lab operations, adhere to safety protocols, support students and teachers during experiments, and manage inventory and resources reliably. Key Responsibilities - Prepare and set up lab materials, equipment, and chemicals according to lesson plans. - Ensure labs are ready prior to student arrival. - Follow teacher instructions for experiment setup. - Assist teacher during lab activities, guiding students in equipment use and procedure. - Promote and enforce safe laboratory practices at all times. - Clean, wash, and store equipment after use. - Keep lab and prep areas tidy and organized. - Dispose of waste safely and properly. - Maintain an inventory log of supplies and equipment; notify staff when reordering is needed. - Complete additional duties as assigned by science department or principal. Required Skills - Proficient in reading and speaking English. - Basic computer skills (Google Docs/Sheets or Microsoft Word/Excel). - Strong organizational and dependable work habits. - Ability to follow instructions accurately. - Positive, team‑oriented attitude. - Willingness to learn and grow in the role. - Basic laboratory knowledge (training provided).
