Job Description
Job Title: Quality Assurance Specialist Role Summary: Deliver comprehensive test plans and execution for web, Android, and iOS applications, ensuring reliability, functionality, and user satisfaction through meticulous testing, defect management, and cross‑functional collaboration. Expectations: - Consistently produce high‑quality releases with thorough test coverage. - Proactively identify and report potential release issues. - Maintain accurate, accessible QA documentation. - Continuously enhance testing knowledge and tool proficiency. Key Responsibilities: 1. Develop and execute test plans using Ghost Inspector for regression and feature testing across web, Android, and iOS platforms. 2. Optimize test scenarios for efficiency and precision; expand automation knowledge (HTML/CSS, visual, load, unit tests). 3. Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT), document steps and findings, and validate new features, enhancements, and bug fixes. 4. Log defects, perform regression testing to confirm resolutions, and document reproduction steps for customer and internal reports. 5. Triage new bugs and low‑level enhancements from Jira, manage urgent tickets, and provide timely escalation to engineering. 6. Collaborate with developers and QA peers to achieve bug‑free updates and communicate release concerns. 7. Utilize Sentry, Chrome DevTools, Log Rocket, Postman to track and resolve issues; continually improve tool efficiency. 8. Create and maintain detailed QA documentation in Confluence, ensuring accessibility and completeness. Required Skills: - API testing with Postman; version control and issue tracking with GitHub; bug tracking and test case management in Jira. - Manual test execution and clear documentation. - Basic automated test framework usage (Selenium, Cypress, Jest). - Understanding of SDLC, Agile methodologies, and CI/CD pipelines. - SQL knowledge for database validation. - Browser developer tools proficiency; experience with functional, regression, integration, exploratory testing. - Strong attention to detail, analytical mindset, excellent communication, prioritization, and rapid learning ability. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). - ISTQB Foundation Level certification is preferred but not mandatory.
