Build and maintain managed and unmanaged packages
Implement secure, scalable integrations using REST or SOAP APIs, platform events, and asynchronous processing
Design clean, extensible data models with strong referential integrity
Write testable, well-documented code following Salesforce best practices
Collaborate with Salesforce administrators on declarative versus programmatic tradeoffs
Participate in code reviews, release planning, and CI/CD processes
Diagnose and resolve production issues and performance bottlenecks
Support compatibility across multiple Salesforce orgs and third-party packages

Qualifications

Three or more years of hands-on Salesforce development experience
Strong proficiency in Apex, including triggers and asynchronous patterns
Experience building Lightning Web Components
Strong working knowledge of SOQL and SOSL
Experience with Salesforce data modeling and security, including profiles, permission sets, and sharing
Experience building integrations using APIs and authentication mechanisms
Solid understanding of Salesforce governor limits
Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools such as Git, CI/CD pipelines, and Salesforce DX

Preferred Skills & Experience With The Following

Experience building or supporting managed packages
Experience using Custom Metadata Types for configuration-driven architectures
Familiarity with industry-specific Salesforce packages
Salesforce Platform Developer I certification
Experience with event-driven architectures such as Platform Events or Change Data Capture
Experience leveraging AI tools in development workflows, such as using AI-assisted coding, automation, and analysis to improve code quality, development speed, and solution design
Exposure to enterprise SaaS product development

Success in this role means delivering features without breaking downstream customizations, building integrations that are reliable and resilient to change, designing data models that are clean and easy for administrators to extend, and writing readable, testable code that other developers can easily maintain.
