Job Description
**Job Title:** Project Manager – Product Launch (Contract) **Role Summary:** Lead cross‑functional teams to deliver new or improved products on schedule, within budget, and to quality standards. Manage end‑to‑end launch phases—from design and development through stable mass production—using Stage Gate and project management tools. Coordinate resources, budgets, risk mitigation, and stakeholder communication to ensure timely market entry. **Expectations:** - 14‑month fixed‑term contract. - Reports directly to the Director, PMO. - Hybrid schedule with 4 onsite days per week (Barrie‑based). - Collaborate with global production sites (China, US, etc.) as required. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, including scope, schedule, budget, and resource allocation. - Chair cross‑functional team (CFT) meetings from Gate 2 onward; support Gates 0 & 1 with Product Management. - Ensure design feasibility, cost targets, and process readiness for production runs. - Manage ERP setup (cost, material, labor, min quantities), PPAPs, 1st off coordination, and long‑lead‑time parts. - Conduct readiness reviews at least 7 business days before production runs; address all open issues. - Lead recovery plan development for schedule or budget variances. - Document and track improvement opportunities using tools such as Monday.com, CI, CAR. - Maintain accurate progress reporting and escalation of risks or issues to stakeholders. **Required Skills:** - Project management experience (ideally in manufacturing or product launch). - Proficiency with Stage Gate methodology and project tracking tools (e.g., Monday.com, MS Project). - Strong cross‑functional leadership and facilitation skills. - Analytical ability to forecast timelines, costs, and resource needs. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and problem‑solving skills. - Familiarity with manufacturing processes, PPAP, and quality systems. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Supply Chain, or related field. - PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management certification preferred.
