Job Description
**Job Title**: Supervisor, Quality Assurance **Role Summary** Oversee all quality assurance functions for turbine‑powered helicopter maintenance, ensuring that company manuals, aircraft maintenance instructions, and FAA ADs are current and compliant. Manage aviation change requests, STC projects, and training programs, while monitoring reliability data and conducting audits to drive continuous improvement. **Expectations** - Adhere to all relevant FAA regulations (14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 135, 145). - Maintain high compliance standards in all documentation and training. - Deliver timely project updates to leadership and keep milestones on schedule. - Provide accurate, actionable data for reliability and safety reporting. - Foster a culture of continuous improvement and safety awareness. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Review and update company manuals, AAIP, MEL, GOM, and MOM with new equipment and service bulletins. 2. Manage Aviation Change Request (ACR) projects, ensuring all drawings, ICA’s, and 337’s are finalized and documented. 3. Oversee Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) processes, including drawings, ICA’s, and project management. 4. Develop, implement, and maintain training programs for new hires and recurrent training, ensuring FAA and industry compliance. 5. Monitor and maintain missed flight and in‑service reports for leadership review. 6. Analyze high‑usage part data and out‑of‑service problems to identify improvement opportunities. 7. Ensure bi‑weekly and annual AD listings are completed and reviewed. 8. Monitor MXC and maintenance record systems for process improvement and efficiency. 9. Conduct periodic audits of quality processes and documents. 10. Support reliability projects and provide reliable data on equipment performance. **Required Skills** - In‑depth knowledge of FAA regulations and aviation maintenance systems. - Strong analytical skills with proficiency in quality and reliability data analysis. - Project management experience, including milestone tracking and stakeholder communication. - Excellent documentation and record‑keeping abilities. - Leadership and team‑management skills; ability to train and guide personnel. - Proficient in EMS systems and maintenance record systems. - Strong communication and presentation skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Minimum 3 years of turbine‑powered helicopter maintenance experience. - Valid Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) license. - High School diploma or GED. - Valid state driver’s license. - Capable of lifting 50 lbs. *Preferred:* FAA Inspection Authorization Certificate; supervisory experience; familiarity with 14 CFR Parts 43, 91, 135, and 145.
