**Job Title** Security Engineer **Role Summary** A hands‑on security engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security controls across Microsoft Azure and network environments. The role focuses on secure access technologies (Zscaler, Palo Alto), cloud security architecture, documentation, and proactive gap closure. **Expectations** - 5–8 years of overall IT experience. - 3–5 years specifically in Security Engineering. - ≥2 years hands‑on with Zscaler solutions. - Strong Azure security knowledge and experience with Palo Alto technologies. - Excellent written and verbal communication; adept at collaborating with technical and non‑technical stakeholders. - Proactive in identifying and addressing security gaps. - Comfortable with shifting priorities and iterative project scopes. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Lead implementation and enhancement of Zscaler secure access technologies. 2. Design, deploy, and maintain security controls across cloud and network environments, particularly Azure. 3. Collaborate with senior leadership, IT teams, and non‑technical stakeholders to support security initiatives. 4. Produce and maintain technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and operational procedures. 5. Identify existing security gaps and recommend/remediate improvements or new solutions. 6. Adapt to emerging threats and evolving organizational priorities in security engineering projects. 7. Coordinate with application security, identity management, and vulnerability management teammates. **Required Skills** - Hands‑on experience with Zscaler secure access solutions (minimum 2 years). - Azure security architecture, controls, and hardening. - Palo Alto security technologies (firewalls, NGFW, Panorama). - Strong technical documentation and diagramming. - Clear communication with technical and non‑technical audiences. - Ability to work independently while collaborating cross‑functionally. - Problem‑solving and proactive gap‑remediation mindset. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field. - Relevant certifications (e.g., CISSP, Azure Security Engineer Associate, CCSP, and Palo Alto Certified Networks Security Administrator) are preferred but not mandatory.
