Human Resources Business Partner - 6 month fixed term contract
Job Description
**Job Title:** Human Resources Business Partner (6‑month fixed‑term) **Role Summary:** Partner with line managers to lead low‑ to mid‑risk employee‑relations cases, ensure compliance with UK employment law, and maintain accurate HR documentation. Provide coaching, support audits and payroll liaison, and collaborate with the Training and HR teams to embed strong people practices across a fast‑growing logistics operation. **Expectations:** - Resolve ER cases fairly and promptly. - Deliver clear, confident guidance to managers on people processes. - Maintain meticulous HR records and ensure policy compliance. - Identify and mitigate emerging HR risks. - Support audits, reporting, and payroll activities. - Contribute to continuous improvement of HR processes and templates. **Key Responsibilities:** - Lead ER casework (absence, disciplinary, grievance, conduct, etc.) of low to mid risk. - Coach and advise managers on formal and informal people processes. - Interpret and apply company policies in line with UK employment legislation. - Draft HR documentation, maintain employee records, and manage confidential information. - Assist with HR audits, compliance reporting, and payroll coordination. - Work with Training & HR to embed consistent practices across the employee lifecycle. - Conduct regular visits to UK warehouses (and potentially other sites) and provide occasional out‑of‑hours support during peak periods. **Required Skills:** - Proven experience in HR/Employee Relations advisory, preferably in logistics, fulfillment, or multi‑site operations. - Strong knowledge of UK employment law and best practices. - Excellent written and verbal communication with the ability to influence and coach managers. - High attention to detail, strong organisational abilities, and discretion handling sensitive data. - Proficiency with HR systems (experience with Rippling is a plus). **Required Education & Certifications:** - Minimum: Relevant HR experience; CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience preferred. - No specific degree required, but HR‑related qualifications are advantageous.
